Samples

Use the right sample to approve the right product detail.

A small finish chip may confirm color and texture but not full-length straightness, installation fit or final packaging. We help define what the sample is expected to prove.

Procurement workflow

What happens, what gets recorded, and who approves it

01
Purpose

Choose the sample type around the buying decision

Different sample formats answer different questions, so the expected approval should be stated first.

  • Finish chip for color, gloss and texture
  • Profile cut for construction and edge shape
  • Larger panel for pattern and installation review
  • Packaging or pre-production sample where justified
02
Selection

Link the sample to an identifiable product

A sample should carry enough information to reconnect it to the quotation and later order.

  • Product code, profile and dimensions
  • Color or film reference
  • Sample date or revision where relevant
  • Requested comparison and acceptance method
03
Commercial terms

Confirm charges, freight and timing before dispatch

Sample policies vary by product and supplier. No universal free-sample promise is made.

  • Sample and customization charge
  • Courier account or freight payment
  • Preparation and transit-time estimate
  • Destination address and import contact
04
Approval control

Record what the sample approves—and what it does not

The order specification should identify the approved reference and allowable variation.

  • Signed or retained sample process where agreed
  • Color and visual tolerance definition
  • Changes between sample and production
  • Batch, scale and natural-variation limitations

Information that helps us give a useful answer

A product link alone rarely defines construction, finish, packing and destination requirements. Include the following where available.

  1. 1

Product code, category link or reference image

  2. 2

Which attribute must be approved: color, profile, size or packaging

  3. 3

Target order quantity and destination country

  4. 4

Courier account or preferred shipping arrangement

  5. 5

Recipient name, phone, address and required date

Buyer questions

Frequently asked questions

Are samples free?

Sample and freight terms vary by product, format, customization and destination. Current charges are confirmed before preparation or dispatch.

Does a finish sample guarantee the entire production batch?

It defines an approval reference only within an agreed tolerance. Scale, batch, process and material variation still need to be addressed in the order specification and inspection plan.

Can you send several colors together?

Often possible, subject to current sample availability, package size, courier rules and the selected supplier's policy.

Should we approve installation from a small cut sample?

A small cut can show profile construction but may not demonstrate full-length fit, straightness, pattern repeat or the complete accessory system. Request the format needed for the decision.
