A clearer buying decision

How do you choose between veneer-faced MDF, melamine MDF and flat WPC boards?

Specify the board core and decorative face separately before choosing a wood-look finish. Veneer, melamine and WPC descriptions identify different purchasing options; a wood-grain image does not prove natural veneer.

Does a wood-look board contain natural wood veneer?

Not necessarily. The decorative surface could be veneer, melamine, film or another facing. Request the face material and core construction for the exact board before describing it to customers.

What should an MDF board quotation specify?

Specify the core, face material, sheet size, thickness and edge treatment. Include the intended application and destination requirements so any requested emissions or other documents can be checked against the offered board.

Can I compare a flat WPC board with a fluted WPC profile by price alone?

No. Sheet and profile formats have different coverage, joining and installation scopes. Compare the required finished area, cutting plan, fixings and accessories on an agreed quantity basis.
